The Microsoft Outlook Integration is a Windows plugin that provides calling and SMS messaging service directly from Microsoft's Outlook with your existing personal contacts.

  • All your Outlook contacts can be used with click-to-call functionality.

  • Create new contacts automatically based on caller ID.

  • Call details are logged into the calendar.

Installation and Removal

Installing the Outlook Integration

The Outlook Integration plugin installation can be accessed from Telebroad's home page by clicking on Apps on the top menu.

If you are using a phone or a tablet access Apps from the side menu. Note, however, that the plugin only functions on desktop Windows machines.

Scroll down and find Microsoft Outlook Integration on the "Apps and integrations for your daily needs" section. Click it and a pop up window will open, where you can click Get it Now to download the app to your computer.

Outlook.exe will be downloaded into either your Downloads folder or any folder that is designated by your browser's settings. Click it to run it, or click the download menu next to the file name and you can select Open to run it directly or Show in folder to look at the file first and than double click it to run it.

Depending on your version of Windows, you may see one or several notifications about the application trying to make changes to your device or that the publisher is not being recognized. These are normal. Just approve any such notification to proceed by clicking Allow.  With windows 10, Windows Defender's Smart Screen may open with such warnings. You need to click More info>Run anyways to continue the installation.

The installation will be initiated with on screen instructions that will walk you, step by step, through the process. When it is finished you can immediately Run Configuration. Uncheck the field if you would like to do so later. Click Finish to end the installation.

Uninstalling the Outlook Integration

Should you decide to uninstall the app, you will need to launch Window's Control panel and select Programs>Remove a program installation. Find the print2fax as it appears here. Click it and select uninstall. Approve the uninstallation when prompted.

  • Should you decide to uninstall the app, you will need to launch the Control Panel or Settings, depending on your Windows version.

    • On Windows 8.1 and earlier versions you need to access the Control Panel screen and select Programs>Remove a program installation.

Scroll down to find the "Outlook Integration Addin" and "The Telebroad Outlook Plug-in " (version number varies) with publisher being "Telebroad" and "Telebroad LLC" respectively, as they appear here.

The first is the software component that adds functionality inside Outlook. The second is the program interface itself. Both need to be removed.

Select or checkmark both and click Uninstall/Change at the top of the programs list.

Approve the request to uninstall the plugin when prompted.

    • On Windows 10 version you need to access the Settings screen and select Apps.

On the Apps & features screen scroll down to find "Outlook Integration".

Click it to reveal the related options and select Uninstall.

Configuration and Settings

Once you finish installation you will be taken to the configuration screen. If you unchecked the Run Configuration field, you will be taken to this screen the first time you run the plugin (see below).

Enter your Teleconsole credentials in the User name and Password fields and click Validate. If entered correctly, the plugin will connect to the Telebroad server and fetch your information. If there is a problem checkmark the Show password field to verify the password you entered.

The Line and Default Line fields for making calls and sending SMS will be populated with the relevant account information.

If you have more than one line for any click and select the one you want to use from the pull down menu for the line. If you checkmark Auto answer for Call Settings, the plugin will first call the intended recipient and only if there is an answer will ring the line you chose.

Next you can click the Notifications tab and select or deselect what notifications to display from Incoming Calls, Outgoing Calls from Outlook, Outgoing Calls from phone, SMS messages, Software updates, and Error messages.

In the Advanced section you can change the frequency for checking new calls or new SMS messages. The higher the frequency (a lower number of seconds or minutes) the more accurate the notifications, which is especially crucial for making calls. However, a higher frequency is more demanding of your PC resources. Leave the frequency as is 3 seconds for calls and 1 minute for SMS messages unless if you run into PC performance issues. If you don't get accurate call notifications increase the frequency to one second.

Here you can also select if to play a sound for a new call or new SMS and select the sound itself for each from any audio file on your computer.

Click Save at the bottom right to finish the configuration or click Reset to undo any changes.

Usage from Outlook

In Outlook click the People button on the bottom of the window to access your contacts screen.

Notice the new button Call Text that has been added to the toolbar at the top.

If you click it, you will launch the external Telebroad Integration Interface (described in details below), where you can make a call or send an SMS.

However, to make a more efficient use of the integration interface highlight a contact's phone number first. After you click the Call Text button all the numbers for the contact will be available for quick selection in the interface.

Accessing the Interface Outside Outlook

Outside Outlook you can access the Integration Interface from the Windows Task Bar by clicking the System Tray to show the hidden icons. Notice the Telebroad icon here.

Nothing happens if you just click this icon, but if you right click it a menu will be shown. We discuss these menu items in details below. Click the Make Call / Send SMS to launch the interface.

Settings will take you the same configuration screen discussed above. Check For Updates will verify your installed version is up to date.  Exit will close the plugin and remove its icon from the System Tray.

If you happen to exit the interface by clicking the Exit option, the icon may disappear from the System Tray. To bring it back navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Telebroad\OutlookPlugIn and click on TelebroadNotifications.exe

As explained above, you access the interface either by clicking Call Text from Outlook or by clicking Make Call / Send SMS from the System Tray, taking you to this screen:

When you type a ten digits number that does not exist in your Outlook contacts into the contact field, the Add to Contacts button will become available changing to colors to blue. Clicking it will take you to Outlook with a new contact automatically already containing the number you typed. You just need to type any other relevant information and save the new contact.

When you start typing any number or letters of a contact already existing in your Outlook contacts, a list of the relevant contacts and will be shown. After you select one the Add to contacts button will change to Open Contact. Click it to open and edit the contact in Outlook.

To access all your available Outlook contacts click the Rolodex icon on the top right corner. A scrollable list will be show. Select any contact from this list.

You can click the Watch icon to display a list of the contacts you called from the interface. Click the X icon next to any to remove it from this list.

If you added any new contacts in Outlook or modified existing ones you must exit the integration interface and relaunch it in order for it to be updated with the changes you made.
