Making Calls

The Microsoft Outlook Integration is a Windows plugin that provides calling and SMS messaging service directly from Microsoft's Outlook with your existing personal contacts.

  • All your Outlook contacts can be used with click-to-call functionality.

  • Create new contacts automatically based on caller ID.

  • Call details are logged into the calendar.

Installation and Removal

Installing the Outlook Integration

The Outlook Integration plugin installation can be accessed from Telebroad's home page by clicking Apps on the top menu.

If you are using a phone or a tablet access Apps from the side menu. Note, however, that the plugin can only be installed on a desktop Windows machines.

Installation Part 1

In the first part of the installation a stand-alone Telebroad Outlook dialing application will be installed.

Scroll down and find Microsoft Outlook Integration on the "Apps and integrations for your daily needs" section. Click it and a pop up window will open, where you can click Get It Now to download the installer to your computer.

You can also download the installer directly from this URL:

A file called setup.exe will be downloaded into either your downloads folder or any folder that is designated by your browser's settings. Click it to run it, or click the download menu next to the file name and you can select Open to run it directly or Show in folder to look at the file location first before double clicking it to run it.  You will need to know the file's location for the 2nd part of the installation.

Depending on your version of Windows, you may see one or several notifications about the application trying to make changes to your device. These are normal. Just approve any such notification to proceed by clicking Allow

When the installation starts it will download some more components of the integration. After those components are downloaded the first part of the installation will finish.

Because of the .exe extension of the installer and the additional components it downloads, it is possible that the installation may get blocked by your anti-virus software. The file is safe and virus free and this is just a case of false-positive identification. You may need to temporarily disable your anti-virus software just for the duration of the installation. With Avast anti-virus for example you will need to disable the both the file protection and the behavior protection to allow the installation to occur (there is an option to disable them for only 10 minutes).  If you do so after you run setup.exe you may discover that the file has been blocked and need to be downloaded again.

Your firewall software, if you have one installed, may also get triggered with alerts about the additional components downloads. You just have to allow the setup.exe installation in your when the firewall software displays an alert about it. You may need to do so several times for each type of permission required by the installation process.

Installation part 2

In the second part of the installation the integration components will be installed into your Outlook software. This is optional and allows you to make calls from within Outlook with your Telebroad account. If you don't do this, you can still use the Telebroad standalone application.

To install the integration components first run and setup the Telebroad Outlook dialing application (as described below). Once you have logged to your account click Install outlook plugin at the bottom of the main screen.

This will download another installer file that is also called setup.exe. Unless you have deleted the previous installer file, the new one will actually be named setup (1). The size of the new installer is 1102 KB (the first installer is 777 KB). If it hasn't automatically launched, find it and double click it from your downloads folder as explained in the 1st part of the installation above.

Uninstalling the Outlook Integration

Should you decide to uninstall the app, you will need to launch the Control Panel or Settings, depending on your Windows version.

  • On Windows 10 version you need to access the Settings screen and select Apps.

On the Apps & features screen scroll down to find "Telebroad Outlook Integration" by Telebroad.

Click it to reveal the related options and select Uninstall and approve the uninstall request when prompted.

If you also installed the Outlook components you will also need to also uninstall the "Telebroad Outlook Integration addin" on the same screen.

  • On Windows 8.1 and earlier versions you need to access the Control Panel screen and select Programs>Remove a program installation.

Scroll down to find the "Outlook Integration Addin" and "The Telebroad Outlook Plug-in" (if you did the 2nd installation) by "Telebroad" and "Telebroad LLC" respectively, as they shown here.

Select or check both and click Uninstall/Change at the top of the programs list.

Approve the request to uninstall the plugin when prompted.

Configuration and Settings

Once you finish first installation and launch the application you will need to login. Enter your TeleConsole credentials in the User name and Password fields and click Sign in. Check Save Password if you don't want to have to re-enter your credential in the future.

Check Auto Start With Windows to automatically launch the application every time Windows starts (after you restart or turn on your computer). You can change this on the settings screen (explained next).

The app will open on the Settings screen. If you have more than one line associated with your account you can select which one to use from the Line: drop-down menu.

The other available settings are:

  • Auto Answer - checking this will make the application automatically pick up any incoming calls instead of displaying the prompt that allows you to answer or reject a call.

  • Start on System Startup - this is the same as the login screen option. If checked, it will automatically launch the application every time Windows starts (after you restart or turn on your computer).

  • Close Popup On Call Complete - popup windows about calls can remain open so you can take notes. Checking this will close them as soon as a call is completed and either you or the other party hangs up.

  • Disable Notification Popup - checking this will disable the app from displaying notification popup windows about calls. This is handy when you are busy with other application during a heavy call volume when you find notifications distracting. Obviously if the window of the application is minimized you may miss some calls if notifications are disabled.

  • Show Notification Popup For Outgoing Calls - self-explanatory. This is useful if you minimize the application window while making outbound calls so you can have the popup window show you if the call has been answered or disconnected.

  • URL to open - you can have browser window open with a search about the number of a contact. This is especially handy for unknown incoming calls where you can immediately find some background information about the caller.

    You need to supply a URL here to make it work. Enter the URL for your favorite search engine and include "{number}" in as in this format:{number}

  • Web Browser: - select the web browser from the ones installed on your computer to open for the URL number search. If you leave this blank, the default system browser will be used.

  • Only Trigger for Incoming Calls - checking this option will apply the URL number search only for incoming calls.

  • Search without country code - checking this option will drop any country code from the URL number search. Relaunching

Exiting and Relaunching the App

If you close window of the app it will still keep running in the background. You can access it from the Windows taskbar by clicking the Telebroad icon.

To really stop the application you need to either logout or exit it. Click Logout to logout from the application and switch to another user. Click Exit to both logout and completely close the app.

If you exit the application you can run it from the Start menu.

Making Calls

The call screen contains a list of contacts automatically imported from Outlook. Simply click any phone number to call to the contact.

You can search for a specific contact by entering his name in the Search By Name field.

You can click and drag any of the fields to rearrange them in any order you prefer. For example move the Business Phone field to the beginning.

You can click any field to sort the list of contact. Click once for ascending order. Click again for descending order.
