Call Forwarding

You can choose to forward an incoming call to a contact or forward all incoming calls to one of your contacts.


You can forward an incoming call to an international telephone number. This feature is enabled by default. 


If DND feature is enabled, the incoming calls will not be forwarded even if you configure no answer forward feature.


When the phone forwards a call, a prompt window will pop up by default. If you want to disable the feature, contact your system administrator for more information.

Forwarding an Incoming Call to a Contact


You can forward an incoming call directly to a contact without answering the call.


To forward an incoming call to a contact:

  • Tap .

  • Enter the number you want to forward the incoming call to.

  • Tap FWD.

The touch screen prompts a call forward message.


Forwarding All Incoming Calls to a Contact


You can set up CP960 phone to forward all incoming calls to a contact.

To forward all incoming calls to a contact:


  • Tap Settings from the home screen.

  • Tap Call Forward from the Features block.

  • Tap the desired forwarding type.

    • Always Forward - forwards all incoming calls.

    • Busy Forward - forwards incoming calls when you’re in a call.

    • No Answer Forward - forwards all unanswered incoming calls.

  • Turn on the desired forwarding type.

  • Enter the number you want to forward to in the Forward To field.

  • If you select No Answer Forward, tap the After Ring Time field to select a desired ring time to wait before forwarding.

  • Tap   to accept the change or    to cancel.

The    icon on the top left corner of the status bar indicates that the call forward is enabled.




If the forward on code or off code is configured, the IP phone sends the corresponding code to the server when a certain action takes place. For example, if you set the Always Forward on code to be *71, and the target number to be 1234. When you enable Always Forward on the IP phone, the IP phone sends *711234 to the server, and then the server will enable Always Forward feature on the server side, hence being able to get the right status of

the extension.


To disable call forwarding on all incoming calls:

  • Tap Settings from the home screen.

  • Tap Call Forward from the Features block.

  • Tap the desired forwarding type.

  • Turn off the desired forwarding type.

  • Tap     to accept the change.

Authorized Numbers


Call forward is configurable via web user interface at the path Features>Forward & DND.


Here you can list authorized numbers that the phone will not forward even when static forwarding is enabled.


To configure the forward authorized numbers via web user interface:


  • Click on Features>Forward & DND.

  • Select Enabled from the pull-down list of Forward Emergency.

  • Enter the numbers in the Forward Authorized Numbers field.

    For multiple numbers, enter a comma between every two numbers.



  • Click Confirm to accept the change.

When call forward is enabled on the phone, the phone cannot forward incoming calls from the numbers specified in the Forward Authorized Numbers field.
