Adding, Deleting, and Editing Contacts

You can enter up to ninety-nine contacts in your phone's local contact directory. Contacts can be added manually or from call lists.

Adding Contacts 


New entries to the local contact directory are added to the top of the list.


Adding Contacts Manually:


  • Press the Dir soft key.

  • Select the local contact directory if it does not appear automatically by pressing Select.

  • Press Up. A new entry appears at the top of the list (when adding the first contact, you do not need to press the Up)

  • Press Select to add a new entry and press Select again to enter a First name.

  •  Enter the first name of the contact from the dial pad.

  • Press the Ok or Cancel soft keys to accept or cancel changes.

  • Press the Down key to display the next field in the contact’s entry and follow the same steps to enter the contact's Last name, Phone number.

    The Phone number is a required field and it must be unique (not already in the directory).

  • (optional) After entering the above fields press the Down key and follow the same steps to display and edit the Speed Dial index if desired.

    If unedited, Speed dial index is automatically assigned to the next available index value.

  • (optional) Press the Down key again and follow the same steps to display and edit the Ring Type and Divert Contact if desired.

    These fields may be left blank.

  • (optional) Press the Down key again and follow the same steps to display and edit the Auto Reject, Auto Divert, Watch Buddy,and Block Buddy if desired.

    If these fields use Up, Down, Left, and Right to switch between Enabled and Disabled.
  • Press Left to end contact’s data entry. Then press the Yes or Cancel soft keys to accept and save the entry or cancel changes.

  •  Press Left repeatedly to return to the idle display.

Adding Contacts From Call Lists:


  • Do one of the following:
    • Press the Callers soft key to view the Received Calls list.

    • Press Dial to view the Placed Calls list.

  • Use Up and Down to scroll through the list to find the contact and press the Select key.

  • (Optional) Press the Info soft key to see the number. Then press Down to access information about time and date when the call started, and call duration. Press Down repeatedly to select the phone number when you have finished examining the information.

  • Press the Save soft key to save the contact in the local contact directory.

  • Press Left repeatedly to return to the idle display.

Editing Contacts

To edit a contact in the local contact directory:


  • Press the Dir soft key. (Select the local contact directory if it does not appear automatically by pressing Select.)

  • Use Up and Down to scroll through the list to find the contact and Select the entry.

  •  Press the Edit soft key.

  •  Use Up and Down to scroll through the fields and press Select.

  • Make the desired changed. Press Left and Right to place the cursor either at the beginning or end of the item respectively.
    Press Down to move to the next field.

  • Press the Ok or Cancel soft keys to accept or cancel changes.

    The Ok soft key is not displayed until a change has been made.
    The Cancel soft key in this context will cancel the edit session for the entry and return to the screen before the Edit soft key was selected.

  •  Press Left repeatedly to return to the idle display.


Deleting Contacts


To delete a contact from the local contact directory:


  •  Press the Dir soft key.

  • Select the local contact directory if it does not appear automatically by pressing Select.

  • Use Up and Down to scroll through the list to find the contact.

  • Select the entry and press the Delete soft key.

  • The contact is deleted from the directory and the next entry in the directory appears.
     
  • Press Left repeatedly to return to the idle display.
