You can place an active call on hold and resume the call when you are ready. Other calls can be made and received while placing the original call on hold.
When you place a call on hold, the held party may hear either a ringing tone or music as determined by either your phone system administrator or your TeleConsole's phone setting "While call ring play the caller" option.
Holding a Call
To place a call on hold, during a call, select Hold.
The screen will display the hold symbol, the speakerphone key ( ) will light up, and the phone will beep softly every 30 seconds to remind you that you still have a call on hold.
Resuming a Held Call
To resume a call do one of the following:
- If there is only one call on hold, select Resume.
- If there is more than one call on hold, press or to select the desired call, and then press Resume.
