In addition to internal PBX calling, Telebroad offers several office communication options to keep employees connected:
- Intercom: Creates an instant connection to another user with the speakerphone enabled. There is no ringing on the side of the recipient, but his phone beeps to alert him about the incoming intercom connection. The intercom call will not go through if the recipient is already on another call.
- Group Intercom Paging: This is used for delivering real-time announcement to multiple users. An administrator can set this up to address the entire office or customize specific groups of users. Paging is one-directional. You speak and the members of the group hear you on their speakerphones, but can’t talk back to you.
- Overhead announcements: If your office is equipped with an overhead speakers system, selected telephones can be patched to the speakers and deliver office wide announcement. See our installation and components article for more details.
- Door Phone integration: A Door phone can be integrated with the office VoIP network to allow users greet and buzz visitors inside. Visitors can dial employees from the Door Phone directly based on extensions. See our installation, components, and buying guides for more details.
Note that while the above links for Intercom and Group Intercom Paging refer to Yealink phones, the dial codes described in them work on all Telebroad supported SIP phones.
