Yealink CP930 (Discontinued) Conference Call (Local, Hybrid UC Meeting, Network)

Types of Conference Calls


The CP930 phone supports a local conference, Hybrid UC Meeting, and a multi-way network conference.


Once a conference is in progress you can manage it or any of its participants.


Local Conference


With the local conference function, you can set up a five-way local call, including yourself.


You can create a local conference by dialing participants, by merging existing calls, or by inviting an incoming call to a conference.


To initiate a conference by dialing participants:


  • Place a call to the first party.

  • When the first party answers the call, select Conf. to place a new call.

    The active call is placed on hold.

  • Dial the second party’s number.

  • When the second party answers the call, select Conf. again to invite the two parties to join the conference.

    The screen will display the number of participants (members).

  • Add up to two more participants by selecting Conf. and dialing the relevant contacts.

To merge calls into a conference:


  • When you have multiple calls on the phone, tap Conf. to merge them into a conference.

To invite an incoming call to a Conference:

  • Tap Join when the phone receives a new call.

The conference is set up between any existing calls and the incoming call. If you are already in a conference, the new party will join the conference.

Managing the Conference


You can manage the entire conference or individual participants in the conference. 


To manage the entire conference do one of the following:


  • Tap Hold to place the conference on hold. Tap Resume to resume the held conference call.

    When you place a conference call on hold other participants cannot hear each other until you resume the conference.

  • Tap Mute  to mute the conference. Tap Mute again to unmute the conference.

    When you mute the local microphone during a conference call, other participants can hear each other but cannot hear you.

  • Tap the On-hook key or End Call to end the conference.

    If any party in the conference ends the call, the other parties remain connected.

To manage participants in the conference:


  • Tap Manage, select the desired party, and select:


  • Far Mute to mute the party. The muted party can hear everyone, but no one can hear the muted party.

  • Remove to remove the party from the conference call.

  • Split All to split the conference into individual calls. This will end the conference call and will put all other parties on hold.

Hybrid UC Meeting


You can merge calls on the CP930, VoIP calls from a connected PC (such as Telebroad TeleConsole, a softphone app, or other VoIP apps), and a call from a connected mobile phone (or device) to a Hybrid UC Meeting (conference). 


Connecting and preparing a mobile device:


  • If you have a mobile phone available, connect it to the CP930 by activating Bluetooth and pairing the device to it.

    Enable the phone-audio feature on the CP930 so it can control calls from the mobile phone.

    Note that controlling calls work for cellular calls, but may or may not work for calls made or received with VoIP communication apps such as Google Voice, Skype, a softphone app, Telebroad's own mobile Teleconsole app, etc. You can try to open the dialer screen of the relevant app on the mobile phone and see if your CP930 can control it.

    Speaker and microphone functionality will work for any type of call – cellular or VoIP.

Connecting and preparing a personal computer:


  • If you have a PC available, connect it to the CP930 with a micro USB cable to enable active PC audio.



    The idle screen will indicate the connection with a "PC-Mobile Mode" message and the CP930 should automatically act as a speaker and microphone for PC calls or other media.



  • If this does not get configured automatically you need to adjust the audio settings on your computer.

    • On Windows 10/11 you can right-click the Volume icon in the Notifications area, select Open Sound Settings, and then select SIP-CP930 in both the "Choose your output device" and "Choose your input device" drop-down menus.

    • On macOS click   (System Preferences) on the Dock or click the Apple menu (   ) on the menu bar. Depending on your version of macOS, select the Sound icon or click the Sound category in the sidebar. Select SIP-CP960 in both the Input and Output tabs.

    • You may also be able to set the input/output device directly from the softphone app you are using for making calls.

  • When you no longer need to use your computer with the CP930 simply use the same settings to select your computer for audio input/output.

To create the Hybrid UC Meeting:


  • Call the first participant or create a local conference on the CP930 by dialing multiple contacts, inviting participants, or merging calls (see more details in Local Conference above.)

  • Tap Conf. and:

    • Call a participant from a mobile phone over Bluetooth – tap    on the CP930, tap Switch and select Mobile Account, dial the number on the CP930 and tap Send to add it to the conference! (see more information about dialing a mobile phone here.)

    • Call a participant on the PC with your calling app or softphone of choice. The existing call or conference will be placed on hold. Tap Conf. to add the PC call to the conference.

  • The Hybrid UC Meeting is created.

  • Tap Conf. and repeat the above steps to invite additional participants to the conference.

Network Conference


The network conference feature allows you to initiate a conference with multiple parties.


The feature needs to be set up by an administrator using the web user interface by going to the Account>Advanced tab and selecting Network Conference in the Conference Type field for the relevant account. 


To initiate a network conference:


  • Place a call to the first party.

  • When the first party answers the call, select Conf. to place a new call.

    The active call is placed on hold.

  • Dial the second party’s number.

  • When the second party answers the call, select Conf. again to invite the two parties to join the conference.

    The screen will display the number of participants (members).

  • Add more participants by selecting Conf. and dialing the relevant contacts.

While the conference is in progress you can invite more participants by selecting Conf. or Hold>New Call. Enter the desired number and dial out. When the new party answers the call tap Conf. 


Tap the On-hook key or End Call to end the conference. If any party in the conference ends the call, the other parties remain connected.
