Enabling and Disabling Bluetooth
The W59R handset can be used with a Bluetooth headset. By default, the Bluetooth feature is disabled.
To enable Bluetooth:
- Press to enter the main menu.
- Select Settings>Bluetooth.
- Select Enabled from the Bluetooth field.
- Press the OK soft key to accept the change.
To disable Bluetooth repeat the same steps but select Disabled from the Bluetooth field.
Pairing a Headset
After you enable Bluetooth you can pair a headset with your phone. Pairing means your phone identify and registers your headset. When initially pairing a headset it will also be connected with your phone.
If you disconnect the headset, the pairing information still remains registered and you can quickly reconnect the headset.
To pair a headset with your phone:
- Put the headset into pairing mode.
(Please refer to the headset's user guide of how to do this.) - Press to enter the main menu.
- Select Settings>Bluetooth.
- Select Scan Devices.
Up to 20 Bluetooth devices will be displayed. - Select your headset from the list and press Pair.
When pairing is successful, you will see the message "Connect Success".
Managing Paired Headsets
After a headset was paired with your phone you can connect or disconnect it, unpair it, or change its name.
To connect, disconecnt, or unpair a headset:
- Press to enter the main menu.
- Select Settings>Bluetooth.
- Select Paired Devices.
- Select the headset you want to manage and press Discon. to disconnect it or Connect to reconnect it.
- Select Options, and do one of the following:
- Select Delete to delete the selected headset (unpair it).
- Select Delete All to delete all devices (unpair all headsets).
- Select Delete to delete the selected headset (unpair it).
To change the name of a paired headset:
- Press to enter the main menu.
- Select Settings>Bluetooth.
- Select My Devices.
- Edit the name in the Device Name field.
- Press the OK soft key to accept the change.
