Yealink CP960 (Discontinued) – Making or Rejecting Anonymous Calls

For CP960 replacements please refer to the user guides for the Yealink CP925/965.


You can use anonymous call to block your identify and phone number from appearing to the recipient. Anonymous call is configurable on a per-line basis. 


You can also select an Unknown or Blocked caller ID in the TeleConsole's general or phone settings(see Desktop, Android, or iOS versions) or use Telebroad's Private Caller ID dial code to achieve the same result. 


Your phone also has a feature to automatically block incoming anonymous calls, some of which may be unsolicited. Additional features to block unwanted calls and spam text messages are available from the TeleConsole and the Admin Portal. See more information here


Making Anonymous Calls


To configure anonymous call:

  • Tap Settings from the Home screen.

  • Tap Anonymous from the Features block.

  • Tap the desired line.

  • Turn on Local Anonymous.



  • Tap    to accept the change or    to cancel.

Anonymous call is configurable via the web user interface at the path Account>Basic.


To place an anonymous call:


  • Use the specific line you configured above to place a call to another phone.

  • The screen of the other phone prompts an incoming call from anonymous.


If the recipient has enables an anonymous call rejection on his phone, you may be prompted that he does not accepts calls from an anonymous number.


Anonymous Call Rejection


You can use anonymous call rejection to reject incoming calls from anonymous callers. 


Anonymous call rejection automatically rejects incoming calls from callers who deliberately block their identities and numbers from being displayed. Anonymous call rejection is configurable on a per-line basis. You can also configure the phone to send anonymous call rejection on/off code to the server to activate/deactivate anonymous call rejection on the server side.


To configure anonymous call rejection:


  • Tap Settings from the Home screen.

  • Tap Anonymous from the Features block.

  • Tap the desired line.

  • Turn on Anonymous Rejection.

  • Tap    to accept the change or    to cancel.

Anonymous call is configurable via the web user interface at the path Account>Basic.


If another phone has anonymous call feature enabled and places a call to your phone, the call will be rejected, and the screen of the other phone B will display the following:
