Yealink SIP-T46U – Do Not Disturb

You can use Do Not Disturb to reject incoming calls automatically on the phone. When activated callers will receive a busy message.


If you need to receive calls from certain numbers while Do Not Disturb is enabled you have the option of configuring Authorized Numbers.


When DND feature is activated, the IP phone supports displaying a large DND icon on the idle screen. This needs to be enabled by your system administrator.



DND can be activated as a whole for the entire phone system. It is called phone mode and is the default option. Or it can be activated for each account separately. The second option is called custom mode and is only available if your system administrator has set it up.


When DND and busy forward are both activated for a specific account, calls to the specific account will be sent to the configured destination number.

 

DND Mode Configuration


To configure the DND mode via web user interface:


  • Click on Features>Forward&DND.

  • In the DND block, mark the desired radio box in the Mode field.



  • Click Confirm to accept the change.

DND Activation


To activate DND in phone mode:


  • Press the DND soft key when the phone is idle.

  • An icon   on the idle screen indicates that DND is enabled.



  • Incoming calls will be rejected automatically and "n New Missed Call(s)" ("n" indicates the number of the missed calls) will appear on the LCD screen.



  • When DND and busy forward are activated in this mode, calls will be sent to the configured destination number

To activate DND in custom mode:


This mode is available only if your administrator has set up.

 

  • Press the DND soft key when the phone is idle.

    The LCD screen displays a list of accounts on the phone.



  • Press   or    to select the desired account.

  • Press    or    to select On to activate DND for the selected account.

  • Press the Save soft key to accept the change.

  • Incoming calls on the specific line will be rejected automatically, and the LCD screen will prompt "n New Missed Call(s)" ("n" indicates the number of the missed calls).



  • If you want to activate DND for all accounts, you can press the All On soft key.

If you activate DND for the default account, the associated line icon will change to   and the   icon will appear on the status bar.



If you activate DND for the non-default account, only the associated line icon will change to .



If you activate DND for all accounts, all line icons will change to   and the  icon will appear on the status bar.



DND Deactivation


To deactivate DND in phone mode:


  • Press the DND soft key when the phone is idle.

To deactivate DND in custom mode:


  • Press the DND soft key when the phone is idle.

  • Press   or    to to select the desired account and then press the Enter soft key.

  • Press    or     or the Switch soft key to select Disabled from the DND Status field.

  • Press the Save soft key to accept the change.If you want to deactivate DND for all accounts, press the All Off soft key.

Authorized Numbers Configuration


You can receive incoming calls from authorized numbers when DND is activated.


To configure the DND authorized numbers via web user interface:


  • Click on Features>Forward&DND.

  • Select Enabled from the pull-down list of DND Emergency.

  • Enter the numbers in the DND Authorized Numbers field.

    For multiple numbers, enter a comma between every two numbers.



  • Click Confirm to accept the change.

When DND is activated on the phone, the phone can still receive incoming calls from the numbers specified in the DND Authorized Numbers field.
