Yealink W78H – Using a Bluetooth Headset

Enabling and Disabling Bluetooth

The W78H handset can be used with a Bluetooth headset for hands-free operation or to quickly answer calls. By default, the Bluetooth feature is disabled.

Note that with the 56H or 73H handsets, you can only use a wired headset with a 3.5mm jack (the 78H support both  Bluetooth and 3.5mm connections.)

To enable Bluetooth:

  • Press    to enter the main menu and select the Settings option ( ).

  • Select Bluetooth and select Enabled from the Bluetooth field.

  • Press the OK soft key to accept the change.

To disable Bluetooth repeat the same steps but select Disabled from the Bluetooth field.

Searching and Pairing a Headset

After enabling Bluetooth you can pair a headset with the handset.

When initially pairing a headset it will also automatically get connected. If you disconnect the headset or disable Bluetooth, the pairing information will still be kept and you can quickly reconnect the same headset later.

To pair a Bluetooth headset with the W78H handset:

  • Put the headset into pairing mode.

(Please refer to the headset's user guide on how to do this.)

  • Press    to enter the main menu and select the Settings option ().

  • Select Bluetooth>Scan Devices.

Up to 20 Bluetooth devices will be displayed.

  • Select your headset from the list and press Pair.

A "Connect Success" message will show if the pairing is successful.

    • Select Delete to unpair the selected headset.

    • Select Delete All to unpair all headsets on the list.

To change the name of a paired headset:

  • Edit the name of the headset in the Device Name field.

  • Press the OK soft key to accept the change.
