Yealink CP935W – Charging, Power Status, and Power Saving Mode


Charging the CP935W


The CP935W phone is powered by a rechargeable battery that, together with its DECT/Wi-Fi connectivity, makes it easy to move it around the office and use any available space for conferencing.


To charge the CP935W place it in its charging cradle. If the phone has been powered off, placing it in the cradle will automatically turn it on. You can use the CP935W while it is being charged, but power saving mode is not available. 


A fully-charged battery provides a talk time of about 20 hours or 167 hours of standby time. The battery status is shown in the status bar. Low to full is indicated as  . When the battery needs charging it is indicates as  .


None of the Yealink DECT base station that the CP935W can connect to are battery operated. They need to be plugged into an outlet or get power from an ethernet cable using PoE.


Powering the Phone On/Off


If you are not using the phone you can power it off to conserve battery.


To power off the phone do one of the following:

  • Hold the Home key for 10 seconds. Tap OK when prompted to proceed.



  • Access the Control Center by swiping down from the top of the screen or by tapping    on the bottom of the idle screen. 

    Select Basic>Power Off. Tap OK when prompted to proceed.

To power on the phone hold the Home key for 3 seconds or start charging the phone.


Viewing the Power Status


When the phone is idle, you can check the battery's remaining capacity:


  • Access the Control Center by swiping down from the top of the screen or by tapping    on the bottom of the idle screen.

  • Select Status>Power Percent.

  • The screen shows the remaining estimated talk time and standby time.

Power Saving Mode


When enabled, the power-saving feature automatically turns off the backlight and screen to conserve battery. The CP935W enters power-saving mode after it has been idle for a certain period of time that you can select or change.


To enable/disable and configure power saving:


  • Access the Control Center by swiping down from the top of the screen or by tapping    on the bottom of the idle screen.

  • Select Basic>Power Saving.

  • Toggle the Power Saving switch on or off as needed.



  • Tap Office Hours to set up the schedule for when your office is open for business.

  • Tap Idle Timeout (minutes) to set up –

    • Office Hour Idle Timeout: Select a duration (from 1 to 960 minutes) to wait, when the phone is idle, before the phone enters power-saving mode during the office hours you configured.

    • Off Hours Idle Timeout: Select the time (from 1 to 10 minutes) to wait, when the phone is idle, before the phone enters power-saving mode during non-office hours.

    • User Input Extension Idle Timeout: Select the minimum time (from 1 to 30 minutes) the phone waits, after a user has made any use of it, before entering the power-saving mode.
