Yealink CP960 (Discontinued) – Call Forwarding

For CP960 replacements please refer to the user guides for the Yealink CP925/965.



While the CP960 phone is intended for call conferencing, you can also use it to receive and forward calls. 


You can choose to forward an incoming call while it rings or forward incoming calls automatically.


If you need to receive calls from specific numbers while forwarding is enabled you have the option of configuring Authorized Numbers.


You can also forward calls using a Telebroad system feature code as described here.


Forwarding an Incoming Call While it Rings


You can forward an incoming call directly to a contact without answering the call.


To forward an incoming call to a contact:

  • While the calls rings tap .

  • Do one of the following:

  • Enter the number you want to forward the incoming call to and select FWD.

  • Tap  (contacts) and select a desired contact to dial out.

  • Tap  (call history) and tap the desired record to dial out.

The phone prompts a call forwarding message.


Forwarding Incoming Calls Automatically


You can set up the CP960 phone to forward incoming calls automatically when you don't answer of busy with another call.


Note that if the DND feature is enabled, incoming calls will not be forwarded even if you configure the No Answer Forward feature.


To forward all incoming calls automatically:


  • Tap Settings   ) on the idle screen.

  • Tap Call Forward from the Features block.

  • Tap and enable the desired forwarding type.

    • Always Forward  forwards all incoming calls.

    • Busy Forward  forwards incoming calls when you’re already on another call.

    • No Answer Forward  forwards all unanswered incoming calls.

  • Enter the number you want to forward to in the Forward To field.

  • If you select No Answer Forward, tap the After Ring Time field to select the desired ring time to wait before forwarding.

  • Tap   to accept the change or    to cancel.

The   icon on the top left corner of the status bar indicates that the call forward is enabled.



To disable call forwarding on all incoming calls:

  • Tap Settings from the home screen.

  • Tap Call Forward from the Features block.

  • Tap the desired forwarding type and turn it off.
  • Tap     to accept the change.

Forward Authorized Numbers


Call forward is configurable via the web user interface at the path Features>Forward & DND.


Here you can list authorized numbers that the phone will not forward even when static forwarding is enabled. This allows you to receive calls from important numbers on your phone while forwarding all other calls to another number.  


To configure the forward authorized numbers:


  • Access the web user interface as explained here.

  • Click on Features>Forward & DND.

  • Select Enabled from the pull-down list of Forward Emergency.

  • Enter the numbers in the Forward Authorized Numbers field.

    For multiple numbers, enter a comma between every two numbers.



  • Click Confirm to accept the change.
