Performing Transfer with a Transfer DSS Key

You can set up a line key to act as a DSS transfer key. When pressed this key will transfer the active call to a specified contact giving you a one-touch transfer feature.

By default, this will work as a blind transfer but your system administrator can set up your phone to perform attended transfer when using the DSS Transfer key.

To set up a Transfer DSS Key:

  • Do one of the following:

    • From the idle screen select Menu and navigate to Features > DSSkey.

      Select the desired line key.

    • Long press the desired line key to set it.

  • Select Key Event from the Type field.

  • Select Transfer from the Key Type field.

  • (optional.) Enter the string that will appear on the phone screen in the Label field.

  • Enter the contact number you want to transfer the call to in the Value field.

  • Select  Save .

After you have set up a DSS Transfer key, tap or press the relevant line key you selected above during a call to use it and transfer the call to the specific contact.

If your phone system administrator enabled attended/semi-attended mode for this transfer method wait until you hear the target phone ringing or until the contact answers the call and tap or press the relevant line key selected above again to complete the transfer

Alternatively your phone system administrator may have enabled your phone to let you select how to perform the DSS Transfer. If this is the case, when you select the DSS Transfer key you will see a screen where you can select to make an attended transfer or a blind transfer.
