UNI-Mobile Supported and Tested Compatible Devices

Supported vs Compatible Devices

UNI-Mobile SIM cards work across most Android, iOS, and Kai OS devices. Supported devices from Google, Samsung, and Apple offer built-in automatic configuration for SIM settings while all other compatible devices need to be manually configured.

Supported Devices

Automatic configuration is available on supported devices. When you install the UNI-Mobile SIM or eSIM card on the following Apple, Google, and Samsung models, the phone will automatically enable VoLTE and configure the UNI-Mobile APN settings.

Phone models that are not listed here or other phone brands require you to configure these settings manually as explained here.

Apple

  • iOS 15.4 or later. Recommended: iOS 17.1 or later
  • iPhone XR or later. iPhone 12 or later is recommended when using the service with another SIM.
  • Supported on US and Global iPhone models only.
  • eSIMs is supported.

Known issues:

  • VoLTE must be manually enabled prior to iOS 18.
  • Your phone number must be manually entered when using an eSIM.

Google

  • Android 13 with March 2023 update or later.
  • Pixel 6 and later.
  • eSIMs is supported.

Known issues:

  • Pixel 6a and 7a are not recommended for international roamers.

Samsung

  • Android 14 or later on US and European models only.
  • For Android 13 and OneUI 5.1, a selection of Global and US models are supported.
Please contact us if you want to verify that your phone is supported. You would need to provide us with the product name (i.e. Galaxy S24 Plus) as well as the model name. Both can be found by going to your phone settings and opening the About phone page.
  • Samsung devices that support eSIM are listed here.

Known issues:

  • None

APN configuration on KAI OS.

Menu choices may vary based on your Kai OS version. On some devices you would perform a selection with a menu key(s) rather than the OK key.

  • Open the phone's main menu by pressing OK (or another selection button on your device) from the Home screen.

  • Select the Settings app and press OK.

  • Find and select Network & Connectivity or Connections or a similar networking menu.

  • Find and select Mobile Network or Cellular Network or similar wireless networking sub-menu.

  • Find and select APN or Access Point Names.

Select to Add a new APN profile or select an existing profile to edit it (you should note down all the fields of an existing profile in case you need to go back to it in the future).

  • Enter the following APN information:

    • For mobile data fill in the following fields:

      Name: globaldata
      APN: globaldata

    • For SMS/MMS fill in the following fields:

Multimedia message proxy (MMS proxy): 37.18.129.98
Multimedia message proxy (MMS Port): 8008
If you don't see a Port field, just include the port in the proxy field like this – 37.18.129.98:8008.
      MMSC: http://mms.mobileuc.global/
  • Save the new or edited APN profile.

  • Restart your device to make sure the APN settings are applied.
